I behave much more freely around new people because I know that they have no preconceived notions about me. No one will talk to me afterwards and say "WHOA, why are you acting so different?"
Maybe in that moment, I didn't want to be myself. I don't need people reminding me of who I was trying to forget.

Chronological Explanation

- Don't read below until you have read everything above.
This is an miniature example of a dream I have for my writing. I wanted each separate section to carry a deep meaning when read alone, while putting every individual entry together would form an expansive story arc. In order to accomplish that, I had to add a few more lines, so no, I didn't fall AS hard this time. I also had to balance my original "in-the-moment" writings with new "after-the-fact" stuff, in order to avoid adding in unnecessary entries regarding every single thought I had during orientation. As a side note, I think the title I came up with is pretty clever, haha.

8/18/09 6:45am to 7:55am - SJC to LAX
