Invitation of Elsewhere

Regarding your vision of seeing the world,
I ask if you'd tire of walking this earth
Before I accomplish the goal that I've set
Of taking you places you know from your dreams

Remember the days in which we slept by the sea?
Would you not care if we never woke up?
Is lying alone here with me by your side
Enough to keep you satisfied?

A look in your eyes always tells me the truth.
Despite what you say, it can't be mistaken:

I know now that

My last memories of you will become
The slowly fading echoes of footsteps
From your path toward
The curious invitation of elsewhere
